ONE MAN RR ARMY

YASHASVI JAISWAL

Yashasvi Jaiswal a one-man army of Rajasthan Royals created a big name for himself through a sensational performance in the IPL 2023 season. With his aggressive, fluent, and flamboyant left-handed batting style, he is now ready to roar in the blue jersey.

He scored smashing fastest half-century of the IPL in just 13 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders surpassing KL Rahul and Pat Cummins’s joint record of 50 in 14 balls. In the IPL 2023 season, this 21-year-old opener has been in superb form with the bat for Rajasthan Royals by smashing 575 runs in 12 matches only.

The Blue jersey is still a dream for him as when asked about selection in Indian cricket team his words were BHAGWAN KARE HO JAYE (With God Blessings). He may be the good pair with right handed Shubhman Gill as an opener in the Indian team as replacement for Shikhar Dhawan in the near future.

Early Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal was born on 28 December 2001 in Suriyawan village of Bhadohi District, Uttar Pradesh. He is the fourth of six children to his father Bhupendra Jaiswal who runs a hardware shop whereas his mother Kanchan Jaiswal is a housewife.

Training and Struggle of Yashasvi Jaiswal

In the year 2012, at the age of ten Yashasvi Jaiswal came to Dadar, Mumbai to start his cricket training at Azad Maidan, Mumbai. But the distance between Dadar and Azad Maidan was time-consuming so he moved to the Kalbadevi area near Azad Maidan where he opted to work in a dairy shop against accommodation. But sooner he has fired by the shop owner as he was not contributing to the working capacity of the dairy shop due to his training time.

Then Yashasvi took the bold and toughest decision of his life by opting to live in a tent house with groundsmen at the Azad maidan. Living life in tents without electricity and water that too with mosquitoes and using common toilets was not easy in all weathers but he coped with it nicely. For his financial needs, he started selling Pani Puri.

In his three years of the tent, training and Panipuri, he was spotted by Jwala Singh in the year 2013, who runs a cricket training academy in Santacruz. Singh took Yashasvi Jaiswal under his wing and provided accommodation and later became his legal guardian. No one could imagine that one day a boy selling Pani Puri outside Wankhede stadium will score his maiden century in that very venue.
